Barbeques at the beach, spending time with family and friends, and fireworks are what we’ve come to expect when celebrating the Fourth of July.

Unsure of how you want to spend your holiday? Here’s a list of places where you can catch the firework show lighting up the night sky on Oahu – and also fill your day with fun activities.

Ala Moana 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular | Friday at 8:30 pm
Get there early because this show will draw a crowd.  Tens of thousands pack the beach park to get that perfect spot.  Walk around the beach or cross the street to the mall to take advantage of their Fourth of July sales.

4th of July 2014 All Weekend at Turtle Bay | Friday at 8:30 pm
Turtle Bay will be hosting an Independence Day with all weekend family-friendly activities, including a paddle race and live entertainment.

Kailua 4th of July | Friday at 8:00 pm
Catch the 68th Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade that starts 10 am-12 pm at Kainalu Drive and ends at Kailua Intermediate School.  Spend the day at Kailua and stay for the fireworks that start at 8 pm at Kailua Beach Park.

Schofield Barracks 4th of July Spectacular | Friday at 8:30 pm
Military and their guest will enjoy family friendly activities, including pony rides, petting zoo, game booth and more. Live entertainment on their main stage will feature O.N.E. Nation, Willie K, and Third Eye Blind.

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam 4th of July Celebration | Friday at 9:00 pm
Open to all military-affiliated personnel and their guests.  Free activities include a petting zoo, airbrush tattoos and more! Feature artist 3 Doors Down will be performing at 7:30 pm before the fireworks show.
